Description

Day One:
Your day starts with an early morning pick up from your Nadi hotels to connect Tavewa Seabus in Lautoka wharf departing at 0800am for the Yasawa islands.

Just a 1 hour 15 minutes ride will bring you to Waya Lailai village. A traditional fijian welcome of fresh lemon juice with cane syrup is provided as you are escorted to the village for a morning tea. After tea your hiking guide will lead you for your memorable hike up the two face mountain, with panoramic views over all the southern islands of the Yasawas. Have a picnic lunch on the top while enjoying the view.

Afternoon tea awaits you upon arrival back at the village with freshly baked scones & buns or some traditional Fijian savouries. Enjoy a (touch) rugby game & volley ball games with the villagers or just a leisurely walk along the beach to watch the beautiful sunset, which Yasawa is renowned for.

After dinner your guide will escort you to the meeting house for your traditional kava ceremony of welcome. Take the opportunity to learn about the history, culture and traditions of the Yasawa people, as they are known for their friendly outgoing spirit that identifies them as one of the friendliest tribes in the Fijian archipelago. Join the children for a bonfire on the beach while they sing and tell you stories of how they enjoy a Fijian island life.

Day Two:
An early hearty breakfast to start of your exciting new day. Experience an educational tour of the village with your guide and witness how the locals cook their meals, plant their vegetables & medicinal plants for cuts, sprains, aches and burns.

Get ready for Shark Snorkelling, one of the many wonders of the Yasawas. Swimming with these majestic, powerful creatures in such a pristine location is a truly bucketlist experience! And don't worry, the sharks won't bite - these are mostly black and white tipped reef sharks. Take lots of pictures to remember and share your experiences with family and friends back home.

Lunch is ready when you return, after which it's time to get ready, pack up, bid your farewell to the villagers thanking them for a wonderful 2 days before taking the Seabus back to the mainland. Your shuttle awaits you at Lautoka wharf to drop you off to your hotel.
